Compassionate Ministry

The mission of our ministry is to aid the Springfield Baptist Church family in any way the church and our pastor deems necessary.

 Ongoing Mission

Our ongoing mission is to visit and mail cards to the sick and shut-in  families of Springfield and their caregivers while also lifting them up in prayer. We have instituted having fellowship gatherings which include bringing food to the designated home. We have also started our Brown Bag Lunch program where a small number of members take a lunch and visit with the member where a large gathering is not appropriate. (A lunch is provided for the person(s) visited.)

 Special Projects

Our special project is to host an annual senior citizens fellowship dinner honoring Springfield senior citizens and guest seniors from other churches. This event is scheduled the last Saturday of April in our James A. Gibson Fellowship Hall or the Community Center.

Our Meetings

Our monthly meetings are held on the Saturday before the third Sunday of each month at 11:00 a.m. in Room Number 12 (twelve) of the Fellowship Hall.

We appreciate and welcome Springfield members who wish to join us in making our mission successful in serving others and honoring God with our service.

Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap what  we sow if we faint not.                                                                                 Galatians 6:9 KJV
